Description
The Albino Auratus Dart Frog (Dendrobates auratus "Karibik") is a rare, captive-bred morph characterized by pink/cream skin, glowing, pale patterns, and red eyes. These, along with their white eggs and tadpoles, breed true. They are shy, diurnal, and thrive in groups in bioactive, humid terrariums, making them popular, long-lived pets.
Care Notes
Behavior: They are timid, often scattering when active, but can be kept in groups. They are highly terrestrial but known to climb. Terrarium Temperature (°F): They can tolerate a temperature range of 65 to 80 degrees, but prefer temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Temperatures over 85° are dangerous. Measure temps with a digital thermometer. Humidity: Like most poison dart frogs, leucs prefer a humidity range of 70–100%, but can tolerate humidity down to 50% for short periods of time if the frogs have access to water. Low humidity levels, especially without access to water, can quickly be fatal.
